Salamander S Flange will not fit!

The outer thread of the bush is 1" - using the female 1" socket will screw onto that and the inner is 3/4" so that will screw onto the top of cylinder. Will wait for it to arrive and see if I got the right item........

Salamander S Flange will not fit!

Hi mate, I bought a 1" X 3/4" Hexagon brass bush: The S Flange came with a female socket in the set. Hopefully I have all the right parts for the job. Have uploaded a couple of photos of the cylinder top so someone can verify it for sure.

Salamander S Flange will not fit!

Hi, I am fitting a Salamander CT75 shower pump. I have already created a dedicated cold feed from the attic and was about to get started on the S Flange fitting, when I realised that my hot water cylinder is 3/4" not 1" like the flange. I have been searching on-line for a reducer (?) as the...

    Structural Ply bathroom flooring

Hi Tim, I shall be buying all my timber from local yards from now on as I have been so disappointed with the number of cracked or badly twisted timber. Also found the staff very rude over the phone! The joists were okay, though a bit mouldy. 50/50 solution of bleach and a lot of scrubbing...

    Structural Ply bathroom flooring

I gutted my whole bathroom for a refit and that included removing the rotten floorboards and also adding noggins between the floor joists. I was meant to buy 18mm WBP, hired a van and went down to local Wickes only to find it was not in stock. So in a rush, I decided to go for the 18mm...

    Acoustic ducting for bathroom fan

Hi, I am currently fitting a new bathroom and am unsure about the installation method for the acoustic ducting. I had no idea that the inner core is perforated, imagine my shock when I noticed the pin holes! What I want to know is where do I clamp with the worm clips? Right now I have only...

My house might collapse?! Urgent advice needed.

Hi ban-all-sheds, the gap between the boiler flue and the window wall is 30cm and the gap between the centre hole of the 152mm vent hole, from the wall is 45cm. The conduit you can see is the power supply to the boiler. it terminates at a 3amp fused switch. I did not install that power...

My house might collapse?! Urgent advice needed.

I just wanted to thank Blagard and big-all for your help at putting my mind at rest! I would appreciate it if you guys could kindly advise me on how to cut through the steel bars before drilling. The core bit and drill is struggling and I was thinking of purchasing an angle grinder, but that...

My house might collapse?! Urgent advice needed.

Hi Big-all, I have removed the plaster and it looks like there are bricks supporting the concrete. I have uploaded the photos in the album. What would you suggest I should do now? Shall I drill all the way through or repair that area? Thanks.
