Toilet valve and flusher button issue - please help!

Thanks for the response. I've attached photos of the button, I can't see an obvious way to remove the push button assembly as it's glued onto a wooden board... Any advice?

Toilet valve and flusher button issue - please help!

Hi, I've attached link to a youtube video showing how the black valve in my toilet does't get any air from the tube and therefor doesn't rise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5ToNvyK7EI Any suggestions? Do I need to buy a part for replacement? Thank you!

    Replacement Valve Washer/Seal - Gerberit?

Hi I'm looking to fix a leaking toilet valve by replacing the seal/washer, hopefully that will fix the slow leaks. Do you think this Gerberit replacement washer would fit mine...

Water very slowly leaking into toilet bowl...please help!

Yorkshire was very pretty when I last visited. But Stone Roses are from Manchester, as are The Smiths :) But back to the original thread.... The original volume of leak is back again after I cleaned the washer, which seemed to minimise the leak without stopping it. I think the leak was...

Water very slowly leaking into toilet bowl...please help!

Is that because you think the syphon (I assume that's the flush valve) is broken and leaking? Is this normal? Could it be anything else? Thanks again

Water very slowly leaking into toilet bowl...please help!

I cleaned the washer and it helped a bit. But what happens now is there is still a slight leak via the top of the valve (rather than via the washer) but it goes away if I push down the valve a bit....

Water very slowly leaking into toilet bowl...please help!

Water has been slowly leaking into this toilet bowl, but it seems to stop if I push down and fidget with the white cylinder after every flush. If I don't then the slow leak starts again. Presumably something is not tight down there, but there's nothing that I can unscrew and I can't...

How to wire a 2 core plug for '60s Revox Tape Machine? Help!

Lucky you. Is the tape from work modern tape (like RMG900) or old tape? Someone told me to stick to old 7" reels but I don't know if that is sound advice. I guess that'd save me from buying a NAB adaptor.

How to wire a 2 core plug for '60s Revox Tape Machine? Help!

I got a response from the guy who sold me the tape machine and he said it shouldn't matter which way round it's wired and I should not bother opening it up. Looking at the cable I found a "dumber" way of solving the issue. I think I can just about tell which side of the cable was "squashed"...

How to wire a 2 core plug for '60s Revox Tape Machine? Help!

Thanks everyone. I looked into opening the G36 but it's in its original flghtcase so quickly gave up the idea. So I guess I'm just going to wire it randomly and assume it's going to be okay.

How to wire a 2 core plug for '60s Revox Tape Machine? Help!

Thanks for that. However I think this is more of a basic electronics question. The plug was taken apart prior to transport and now we need to rewire the plug.

How to wire a 2 core plug for '60s Revox Tape Machine? Help!

Yes it's a high end consumer or semi-pro reel to reel recorder. http://www.reeltoreel.de/worldwide/G36.htm What it looks like opened up (which we're too scared to do): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xl-1lP0wJzg

How to wire a 2 core plug for '60s Revox Tape Machine? Help!

Is it normal to have no markings at all on the cables? This is a pretty serious tape deck it would be hard to open it up without much expertise. My friend reckons as they're both black it doesn't matter which is live and which is neutral, apparently it's normal back in the day. But I don't...

How to wire a 2 core plug for '60s Revox Tape Machine? Help!

Hi, I need to wire the plug for a Revox G36 tape machine from 1967. It has a 2 core cable (all black) and a 3 pin plug. I guess there is no earth cable here, but how do I know which wire is LIVE and which is NEUTRAL? Of the two attached black cables, one of them apears to have a string...
