Ah cheers, I decided to buy a new one as it really is a leaky rustbucket, strangely when i decided to empty it of the wash in there I took out a couple of heavy when wet items and tried it...and it worked...completed the wash so not sure if it was a pump issue or the lights fault was incorrect...

My old rustbucket WF541 has just stopped mid wash, on/off, reduced creases & mini load light all flashing Is this a blocked filter/pump? (its half full of water so Im guessing its something to do with pump) Cheers

I sussed it last night, the load was too heavy. Wasnt when dry, very light but I guess teddy fleece throws hold a lot of water, that, a smaller fleece and a pair of trousers were just too much, as soon as i split the load it went fine. Ok, spoke too soon, door locked is flashing, wash and rinse&spin lights are on solid. No other lights on (except power) . It has pumped out but not spun. The drum was happily and smoothly turning until it just stopped...

Erm... Can someone give me a clue where the motor is located on the WF541 please so I know if I have to take door frame off to get whole machine out or if it can be worked on in the cupboard? All my other hotpoint motors have been at the top, easy to change the brushes on but...I can't even see...

Erm...no. I didn't think it would be that as it was working fine until son flicked wash programme mid cycle. I will try check them tomorrow as the machine is in a tiny cupboard with a tumble drier on top. Thanks Rocks1. Is that what the lights indicate, I just thought it was throwing a hissy...

Can one of you wonderful people point me in the right direction to buy a replacement filter thingy for a WF541. The only things i can find are for WF541P or WF541G. Mine has no letter at the end I cracked mine getting it out as what was blocking it also stopped it turning. Cheers

There are 5 lights, 2 are flashing, 2 & 4. light 2 is reduced creases, light 4 is mini load. As well as the on/off

Hope someone can help I have a hotpoint washing machine only (not a drier) Its pretty much quit on me with lights 2 and 4 flashing also the on/off is flashing. Its been like this a while, I just havent had the money, still havent really but I can't do hand washing for a family of 4...
