Spilt some acid on my black granite worktop the other day which is now much less black in a few spots where i couldnt clean fast enough. It doesn't seem to be damaged but definitely faded....is there a product I could attempt to repolish it with like a T cut type of thing before I enlist...

Is it definitely the old rd532 or the newer 532i?, if the pump has 2 purple wires in addition to the 3 core feed then id definitely start there.

It doesnt quite work like that, most faults arent detailed in the manual and the majority of experienced guys pretty much know the likely fault from experience before they head out of the door.

Lose the link to 5 and wire the rest up the same ie lne and hw on,off and ch on. Link your room stat out at either wiring centre end (preferable) or make n safe on its own and link l and ls wires to room stat

Service procedure is in the manual. The above would certainly be an extremely thorough service and a lot of that work would be optional rather than required. All the cdis you can visually see if the condensate needs cleaning, the expansion vessel pressure will show if its required on the max...

Potable water expansion vessels do not let the membrane come into contact with the mild steel body at any point, they are like a hot air balloon shape rubber membrane and thinner than the membrane stretched across the red ones as they shouldn’t have any sort of aggressive chemicals to deal with...

A 3 bar vessel is for unvented hot water not central heating and will be unsuitable to replace a 0.7 - 1 bar ch vessel, you know that right?. Just checking.

It may just be the condensate blocked but equally it could be gas pressure so I’d give someone a ring

22mm pipe takes some serious overtightening to distort!.is it seized open or shut?, if open just fit another one where it is accessible.

I’ve had a pint of condensation water from the schraeder before with a perfectly intact membrane. I’m still astounded by the number of heating engineers who can’t repressurize a vessel correctly....and don’t even start me on external unvented vessels, if he doesn’t come down the stairs looking...
