Ideal Vogue combi. Range rating, or the lack of ......

I live in a 1990 built dob and dab 4 bedroom smallish detached house with a 32kW Ideal Vogue fitted in August 2022. The CH temp is set for 50C to boost boiler efficiency and runs through 10mm microbore pipework downstairs with standard pipework upstarted. Rather than using weather compensation...

Leak = air ingress? Not understanding the basics.

Thanks for the expansions but I thought the whole point of adding inhibitor was to prevent the corrosion. My system is fully dossed with X100 and has been tested for its strength.

Leak = air ingress? Not understanding the basics.

So water within the CH is replaced by a certain amount of air indefinitely of equal pressure? My understanding is that if fresh water is introduced then air from that water will separate into the tops of radiator or towel rails. So I don’t have an issue then?

Leak = air ingress? Not understanding the basics.

We had a combi boiler that has now been replaced by a combi new boiler last year. Both have the same symptoms. The old boiler was set to 1 bar pressure. This new one sits at 1.5 when the CH water is cold. Both maintain pressure until I bleed a towel rail then the pressure drops. Both systems...

What has caused this after glazing replaced?

Thanks for the answers. All the gaskets were changed from white to black around 6 or 7 years ago. I will try the spoon method later today and if that does not work will try pushing the gasket more into the corners by pulling back a length

What has caused this after glazing replaced?

In July 2022 I had some popped double glazing changed. 15 months later the rubber seals on two of the 5 windows are starting to bulge. I keep pushing them back with a fingernail but it soon bulges again. How do I get them to stay in places and was it a faulty repair for the reason for the...

    Heat efficient rads

The higher the temperature the less efficient the boiler becomes. Do all the radiators heat evenly? Have the radiators been balanced properly?

    Air in system.

I have had this problem for years. No visible leaks just air and no gas as I can’t light it. No smells and no damp either. I have just renewed the boiler and the problem persist.
