    Plugs for integrated appliances.

Thanks guys, I think spurring to a plug in the cupboard and/or extending one of the doubles behind to inside is going to be best for me. Is there a nice or recommended way to come into the cupboard from the wall? Into a blank on the wall for example? Then maybe into some mini trunking...

    Plugs for integrated appliances.

What is the idea behind the 15A round pin? Just to bring it above the 13A so its the FSU fuse that blows? Do you leave the flex below trailing to make sure the appliance doesnt hit the plug or is it best having a fixed plate? Am I right that this is not noticeable in Scotland?

    Plugs for integrated appliances.

Scotland, Taylortwocities. There are a few sockets near by so I can probably spur off those and include 2 of the FSUs in the ring without taking all the plasterboard off. What is the best way to come off the FSU? T&E to a socket in the cupboard? Or to an unswitched socket behind?

    Plugs for integrated appliances.

I am putting in a new kitchen and was wondering what my options are for wiring in integrated appliances. I have plugs behind where the dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washer will be but obviously not very practical to plug in to here. I guess the proper way is to extend the ring to...

Details on how french doors are fitted?

Looking to have upvc french doors fitted soon and was wondering how you would suggest they should be done. I will only be doing the finishing myself but I am curious as to how they will be fitted. They are going in place of a 4 foot window (doors will be 1090 x 2090). House is a 25 year...

Any other opinions on what I suggested?

    Shower extractor, again.

How about if I take the live feed from the live side of the shower isolator, take the switched live from the switch side of the isolator, both with 10mm or 6mm cable into a fused isolator (say 3 or 6A fuse) and then on from there with 1.5mm to the extractor. This would give everything on...

    Shower extractor, again.

I am wanting to run my shower fan extractor without having to put in a separate pull cord. So presuming it requires a live and sw live for the timer and I want it to come on with the shower and off when the shower goes off, what is the best way to do this? I have saw the solutions where the...

    3 track sliding wardrobe track?

Further to my last sliding wardrobe door thread, i am looking for a 3 track set, so I can have 3 doors that will open more, since having 3 doors on 2 tracks would only allow 1/3 opening? If not, how about a double and single?

    Sliding wardrobe doors

i'll ring them on Monday, thanks. Are they reasonable on price? Went and had a look at Stanley ones in B&Q and Homebase. Both had a rubbish stock. Homebase had no brochures left and the woman said they hadn't had any in months because Stanley were changing their product range. Neither...

    Sliding wardrobe doors

This company seems to be able to do 3 doors in a 1400-1500mm opening, although it is a little expensive. http://www.spaceslide.co.uk/wardrobe-doors/ Do you know if Stanley do black gloss sliding doors?

Can you plaster both sides of Plasterboard?

Sounds like a stupid question, but I have some tapered edge 1/2inch plasterboard, one side like gray and one dark. The dark side says 'Plaster other side'. My problem is that I was using up a friends off cuts and I didn't realise this until I put a whole sheet up. So, why does it say not to...

    Sliding wardrobe doors

Making myself a built in wardrobe in my bedroom and would like some sliding mirror doors. The ceiling height is 2350mm and width space enclosure will be in is 1770mm max (including the new partition). Doors are listed at 2220x910mm, so height isn't a problem as they will be almost full...
