Have attached a photo of the shower, if that helps.

Triton Shower - loss of pressure when hot

Have a Triton shower, about 2 years old, cheap model. It's started to massively lose pressure, to the point it's unusable at a hot temperature, where it was fine before. To get a decent pressure to shower & rinse hair, we're having to lower the temperature to nearly cold. A good way to wake up...

    Cheapest shed base?

I'm buying a 10x5 shed but need to prep a base this week really. What's the cheapest? Ballast & concrete, slabs, or ecobase & gravel? I can't seem to fathom out which works out better! Obviously cost aside ecobase is the easiest but I don't know if it will be strong like concrete.

    Wet skirting... again

Fab! I have a week off next week so hopefully can sort it properly. Silicone essentially sealing the DPC line, that won't hinder things will it? Just want to double check. :) I had 'damp sealed' inside & it's been fine apart from that corner. Fingers crossed this is the last damp related...

    Wet skirting... again

It's a single breeze block wall, that has been battened, insulated & plasterboarded. Well surely it can be bone dry, with work. Even to the extent of building another brick wall with insulation. There are MANY houses in the UK that are single skin. A DPM where? In the walls? I put it there...

    Wet skirting... again

Thanks John. So, as a plan of action... would you say, sort the broken mortar, then sort the edging of the render with the appropriate bead?

    Wet skirting... again

Update. I've done some digging and also some measuring. The end of the render appears to be where there is a layer of mortar, which DOES have a dpm, which is visible. Where this dpm is, this is the internal ground level. The ground level is well below the internal floor on the outside (where...

    Wet skirting... again

Sorry have we spoke? Why are you being a douchebag? I don't know the *exact* wall construction as I didn't build the bloody thing! Forget it. This place is full of grumpy old gits permanently in a mood. Last time I checked this was an advice forum??? :x

    Wet skirting... again

Ah ok. Thanks. I'm going to have a dig around today & see if I can shed any more light on the situation. Will update with any clues I find! :)

    Wet skirting... again

Any ideas on the damp question? Much more important than skirting looking pretty behind storage boxes... :)

    Wet skirting... again

Also? Did you answer my first question? As it's not showing if you did. If you didn't, you don't need the also. That's my English tip, your tip in return... how would one approach internal angles then? Apologies, I am a novice (& a girl) hence the asking on an Internet forum!

    Wet skirting... again

Block, but it's been battened, insulated & plastered, with a dpm. What do you mean make good the render? The render isn't cracked anywhere...

    Wet skirting... again

In around April/May last year I gutted out an outbuilding, it was quite damp at the time, I used it as a shed. Needed storage for my things as I needed to move in with family, also for my cat to live in there. I quickly replaced any skirting that was rotten etc. Just made it barely habitable...

    Friendly advice / guidance

I'm looking to increase the size of the building by approx. 10ft so it has bathroom facilities. Planning actually states that as long as it is occupied by guests or family of the main house it is actually fine. So given the main house is mine, my sister is living in the main house, me using...

    Friendly advice / guidance

After having a family war this evening about this subject, I thought I'd bring it to the forum for some advice. I currently have nowhere to live after a horrendous split. I own a house but my sister is living in the house with her partner (paying my mortgage). I can't afford to live on my...

    Getting water supply to outbuilding?

Is it likely that I'll need to let Severn Trent know l'm connecting to their sewer? From another outlet?

    Getting water supply to outbuilding?

Just wondered if it would be a big job? Timespan? Ballpark of cost? Happy to get my hands dirty & do as much as I can myself. :D
