Boiler working but radiators not heating!

I have a Worcester Bosch Heatslave 20/25 combo boiler which is now a discontinued model. It has worked fine until recently, and been serviced regularly, but for some reason although there is power to the boiler it is not heating the radiators. There seems to be no demand and hence it's not...

Smeg dishwasher installation - cant adjust feet!

Hi. Ive just bought a new Smeg dishwasher DI6012 and all was going well with the installation until I realised that the appliance was about 3 inches too low! So, I found the feet (there are 3) and the nut at the front that adjusts the rear foot. The problem is the feet at the front - they are...

    Toilet valve issues

Thank you! Am I better off with one of those rather than one of the plastics ones without a lever/ball?

    Toilet valve issues

I live in an old house and the previous owner decided to kit it out with authentic antique plumbing. Although the pipework is relatively new, the fittings are all brass antique fittings. Added to which we have really high water pressure and hard water which means everything lime-scales up really...

    Sensor problem in outside lights

I really want them fixed. I'm not sure I can trace the cable. The sensor is mounted on the wall on the outside of the top of the garage and then presumably ends up in the fuse box but they're all hidden in the ceiling (it's two storey) and behind the walls. When I trip the fuse all the lights...

    Sensor problem in outside lights

Hi everyone I have some outside lights that come on and off every night automatically, triggered by a sensor that is on the top of my garage. It's a light sensor (not a motion sensor) so when it gets dark they come on and when it gets light they go off. I inherited these lights from the...

Screws are stuck in outside lights....

I have 6 outside lights and last year I replaced the screws in all of them as they were looking a bit rusty. The problem is that now in 3 of the lights the new screws are completely stuck! They all have two screws per light and I can't remove any of them. I've tried soaking them in WD40...

    Blocked bathroom pipes/sink

Thanks - its helpful to know that it's likely to be a coincidence and I haven't done anything drastic whilst fixing the other taps! I don't really know where the pipe goes unfortunately. It just goes down into the floorboards! I guess it must go down into the laundry beneath but I think...

    Blocked bathroom pipes/sink

I have an old house which is full of antique brass sink fittings. A few days ago my kitchen taps became loose and so we took it apart to tighten it all back up. This involved turning the water off at the stopcock. After it was fixed, the next day my bathroom sink upstairs stopped draining...

Help - Rising pressure in worcester boiler

Initially I topped it up to 2 and then it worked okay for a long time but then I noticed the pressure rising when the boiler was off.

Why do my taps make a noise

Hi - thanks - yes I did mean slow down the flow rather than the pressure - we do definitely have high water pressure. I'll try the washers first and see what happens. Thanks very much.
