Fitting stone shower tray on floor (two plumbers says no cement required?)

To take the weight of the bar you would use something like this at the end of the pipe (instead of the elbow you have now) screwed to a horizontal support. The offset brass thing (technical term) supplied with your shower would screw into this...

Fitting stone shower tray on floor (two plumbers says no cement required?)

My plumber used some sort of grab adhesive to bed in the tray. It hasn't been a problem but as the floor wasn't level and it is only a thin layer, the tray ended up a bit sloped. Made fitting the enclosure trickier than it should have been for me. Are you going to use a mixer bar? If so is...

Help please.. changing a 'non-standard' toilet pan pipe

Replacing lead water main - what are my options?

Cheers. I've had the testing done and it wasn't high enough. About 2/3 of the max levels, the chap phoned me before hand and asked us not to use the water for a couople of hours before he arrived. Might have been higher if it had been left in the pipe overnight.

Replacing lead water main - what are my options?

Just queried the on line quote for 1600. It was to replace the lead from the main to the stopcock as well as reconnect a pipe from my side. doh. Actual cost just to connect a pipe from lead to plastic is £500. A lot better :)

    JLBIUCL 01 built-in refrigerator - too cold

Yeah I had it down to its lowest and it runs continuously. At the moment I turn it off and on for a few hours manually. I can't seem to find a replacement temp regulator part or see it in the parts diagram Would it be in this pic or down the back somewhere? Thanks for the help.

    JLBIUCL 01 built-in refrigerator - too cold

Hi, thanks for looking. My fridge has been too cold for a few weeks. There is ice permanently at the back and it sounds like it is always running. I've changed the thermostat but that hasn't made any difference, so was wondering if anyone had any ideas what else could be wrong? I'm hoping to get...

Help fitting bar shower - shower pl8

Thanks for the advice, I spoke to the manufacturer today and they said no one has ever had this problem before. Which leads me to think I'm doing something very wrong but I still can't work it out without using one of the methods suggested here. After fully tightening the nut into the shower I...

Help fitting bar shower - shower pl8

Hi, I have recently had a loft conversion and on the 1st fix the plumbers installed a shower plate called the showerpl8. This has a plate behind the wall and leave a piece of pipe coming out that you attach a male coupling to after tiling...

    tiling on chipboard

Hi, I vaguely remember reading that it wasn't to be used over chipboard as it wasn't as good with any flexing left. If its the stuff to use I would prefer 3mm to 6.
