Bleed the radiators alst night, and still same problem. Have noticed this morning that the water level is below the red line, so need to top up the water level. Might be a basic question, but is this something that i can do myself???

We currently have a problem with our radiators, when the heating is on the downstairs radiators get really warm, but the upstairs one are only hot at the bottom half of the radiator, whilst the top half is cold!!! Can anyone help with what might be the problem here??? Thanks.

It's old. When our friend had to fix a problem at the beginning of the year, he mentioned it was getting on it's last legs. Was hoping that it may last this winter and then replace it some time next year, but it then started making a weird noise when we turn on the heating for the first time...

Think our bolier is on the way out, have noticed recently that there is a small drip of water from one of the pipes every so often. A friend who is a plumber came and looked at it at the beginning of the year and fixed another problem, but now have this. Unfortunately he is away at the minute...
