3 port MV not switching to CH

When I say the ch mostly works when hw+ch are both on, I mean that just 3 of the rads near the pump come on. The downstairs rads remain cold, previously they used to get hot. I have tried the test that you suggested, I turned down the stat on the cylinder but the motor on valve did not move to ch.

Powerflush OR Remove each radiator and hose?

I always add inhibitor to the system whener i do a drain down. I normally put some straight into the rad seeing as how the water is not getting pumped to te rads anyway.

Powerflush OR Remove each radiator and hose?

But if the water is flowing out of the pipes (valves) once the rads removed, does this not indicate that the pipes are not blocked? I will look into changing that once ive flushed the rads, Im afraid of getting crap in the pump though.

I have de-sludged and drained down, and still have cold rads

I bled the radiators when the pump was not running , but no air came out of any of them. I also emptied a bucket full of water from the FE tank and bent the float down so water level is now about 1 or 2 inches above the feed.

I have de-sludged and drained down, and still have cold rads

ok understood, and in the FE tank I will bend ball cock arm down to restrict water level to 1 inch above the feed no the pump was not running when i bled it, i simply unscrewed the silver screw until water dribbled out, i collected about 20 cl before tightening up again. Like I say it was...

As requested here are the photos of my pipework, pump etc. D_Hailsham, you said turn the 3 way valve to manual and bleed pump when water is cold. I did this and the pump sounded fine when cold water was running around, but once the water got hot it started making the clicking noise again so...
