Bay Window fitted by Zenith Staybrite

After a long fight with this supplier, we had to pay for windows we didnt order, that were faulty and installed badly. We decided to try to fix or at least improve the installation ourselves and pulled some of the trim off the bay window. To our horror we found that the bay poles were short, in...

    what standard

had a bungalow rewired in November 2008, can you tell me what standards the electrician should have done it to. I'm a bit worried that the light in the bathroom is on the main lighting cct, not protected by RCD, and that there is no bonding on the steel bath (you can see I've been reading...

Using an MCB to isolate the consumer unit

Did sort of ask this in another post about moving the consumer unit further from the meter (4 metres), but got a mixed response. Anyone else have ideas why i shouldnt use an 80A dp mcb to isolate by consumer unit, rather than using a switch and a fuse. Thanks for any help

    Moving Consumer Unit

Great Forum by the way, found out loads of info - thanks to all. i'm installing a new consumer unit about 3.5m away from the meter. Having read other posts on this subject I see its recommended to fit a 100A dp isolator at the meter together with a fuse, no problem with the isolator, but...
