    Worcester Bosch 15Ri not igniting

Thanks for the quick reply. Actually, I had the boiler serviced 3 months ago (you need to have it serviced every 12 months to keep the warranty in place). Hoping the service repairer can come out in the next couple of days, but was just hoping it may be a simple fix that I could do.

    Worcester Bosch 15Ri not igniting

Hope someone can help please. We have a Worcester Bosch 15Ri, installed about 3 years ago. Today it will not ignite. Blue light is on and is steady so I believe it has not been "locked-out". The boiler tries to ignite a few times, I can here some fan noise and a bit of clicking, but then it...

Swan neck kitchen tap dripping - pictures now added

Thanks. Just looked at the tap again. The red part in the picture is a plastic cover which doesn't like it has a a thread. Nothing to get hold of to unscrew. Also, the red collar can't be taken off as it is (I don't think) because the white plastic know is in the way. Perhaps I am...

Swan neck kitchen tap dripping - pictures now added

Sorry for appearing a fool, but can I take the cartridge off without removing the white plastic knob. I haven't got a new cartridge yet, thinking that I'd need to take the old one into the shop to show them what I needed. Much appreciate your help.

Swan neck kitchen tap dripping - pictures now added

Apologies, I hadn't added the photos correctly....now sorted. Thanks for your reply.....I really have tried to prise off the white plastic knob (as hard as I dare) with a small lever but there seems to be no movement. Any thoughts?

Swan neck kitchen tap dripping - pictures now added

Hi, I'm trying to fix a dripping kitchen tap. I've removed the small coloured centre cover and the central screw, but can't see what to do next. Presumably I need to remove the large white plastic knob but don't know how to. Doesn't appear to be any more screws. I have tried gently prizing...

Electrolux Fride Freezer - very noisy and freezing

ok thanks rocks1, I'll look into getting a new thermostat. still bit concerned about the noise thought....even after a defrost, I wouldn't expect it to be that noisy when it is switched on, even for a short while it is getting up to the correct temp??

Electrolux Fride Freezer - very noisy and freezing

Yes, thanks, that was what Electrolux told me to do. When I switched it back on after 24 hours, soon got hee noise back and it started icing up in a few hours. Someone thought it could be the thermostat but I guess this is unlikley given the symptoms. Any other thoughts?

Electrolux Fride Freezer - very noisy and freezing

Thanks wingcoax. The fridge is integral and has been in the same cupboard since we bought it, so pretty sure it is level. The drain hole (inside, back centre wall) looks to be clear. I think the main clue must be the gurgling, shushing noise, because even if I switch it of overnight to...

Electrolux Fride Freezer - very noisy and freezing

I have a Electrolux Fridge Freezer (not frost free), about 6 years old. Recently it has been very noisy (sounds like a windy day on a beach!) and the back wall of the fridge is freezing up quite badly with a large amount of ice. My local repair company want £65 just to come out and look at...

    Epson sx200 - 2 questions

Does anyone know how to disable the ink level detection, using Windows XP? I am getting lines across my print (when using black). I have tried the clean print head utilities a number of times, changed the black cartridge a few times, but makes no difference. Can I clean the heads myself...

    Actuator Problem?

Thanks Bolierman2, I'll try what you said. What would cause this to stop working intermittently? Is it right that there should be a fair bit of resistance from the arm when it gets half way across?

    Actuator Problem?

Occasionally (once every couple of weeks) my central heating system does not fire up. It has only started doing this in the last few months Thanks to DIYnot I tracked it to the Motorsied Valve (Danfoss HSV3B28). If I slide the arm on the top of the valve to manual, everything starts working ok...

Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 - Nothing happening

House is warm now, water is hot, superb - thanks! It's a "Danfoss". Noticed on one of the other sides it says "B" Hot Water and "A" Central Heating, with arrows pointing to both....kind of looks like there should be a lever (perhaps like the one that goes from Auto to Manual on the other...

Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 - Nothing happening

Thanks again cowley. But what exactly have I done by moving the switch to manual and is it OK just to leave it on manual for a couple of weeks?

Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 - Nothing happening

Oh my god, I love you guys! I've just found the motorised valve in the airing cupboard. Did a quck search on the internet and subsequently moved the switch from auto to manual.....and the boiler started!!! I'm so pleased, and so's my wife! Only thing is I don't understand excatly what...

Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 - Nothing happening

Thanks for the advice Cowley and for the warning, certainly will not take anything else off the boiler, was nervous enough taking the control cover off to check the fuse! Makes sense to me what you are saying. If the fan is the very first thing that comes on following the thermostat trip...
