Yeah it comes with instructions, it basically says that for Baxi they recommend for optimal performance to use 3 wires. So you think i only need to do the 2? See below for copy of thermostat instructions & baxi instructions. [/img]

when you say external, do you mean sits on the front panel? If so, then mine is sat on the front panel.

oh right, is it easy to fit one? yeah just have a basic clock timer on the boiler.

I noticed at some of my friends houses that they have a thermostat control, usually downstairs which I assume they can set the temp of the heating. Now I don’t have anything like this, is it dependant on your boiler? I have a Baxi 105HE. It would be nice if I could have a control downstairs.

I had new radiators and a boiler installed about 5 years ago, but now they all seem to be going rusty. It looks like most are going rusty where the valves go in. This means they are leaking also. What’s the best way to sort this out? Or will I need new rads?

so if i run a fuse spur of my ring main, what size cable shall i use from the socket/main ring to the FCU? Also what size cable to run from the FCU to the boiler?

so i could run a FCU but only if its off the main ring? i'll probably run the cables under the floorboards so shouldn't have a problem, if i conceal them i will make sure i follow the guidelines. Cheers
