Can' get loo cistern off wall

Tried both of those options, no luck with bashing, wiggling did loosen the left side but the other side was firmly fixed. Did try with a drill but bit just kept slipping off and was scared I might damage the cistern round the screw holes.

Can' get loo cistern off wall

I needed to replace the flush valve in a 30 yr old toilet. The fixings to the wall are all rusted up. I asked in another post if I could hacksaw the ends off, it was suggested I do that but I cannot get the cistern up, the rest of the screws or whatever they are are still stopping it coming up...

wc cistern wall securing screws rusted up

I am hoping to replace the flush valve on a close coupled toilet. I managed to do the same on a downstairs loo last year. The screws securing the cistern to the wall, or I think they are screws, it is hard to tell as they are completely rusted up. There are plenty of videos on YouTube about...

Windows media creation tool won't load

I put a new ssd in a 12 year old Toshiba laptop and tried to install windows 10 from the Media creation tool on a usb stick. It started ok but a failure notice appeared, see photo. What could have caused this to happen?

    Air in filter

I had a new Worcester Bosch heat only boiler fitted nearly a month ago with one of those filters inline above the boiler. The heating bloke also replaced a manual bleed valve with what he said was an automatic one in the airing cupboard upstairs. He did this off his own back, fair enough. I have...

Tried to install windows 11 on an old laptop.

I can't put anything on it at the moment as it won't respond to anything. I think it has packed up, could not cope with the stress of windows 11!

Tried to install windows 11 on an old laptop.

I read that someone had installed windows 11 on a 12 year old laptop. I have a 15 year old HP laptop that I just kept as a back up to my desktop pc and tablet. I installed windows 10 on it when it came out and would install the security updates every now and then. So following a YouTube tutorial...
