    i fitted a double pole light switch today and the 6 downlighters all work very nicely. The light switch and all but 2 of the lights are in zone three. two of the lights are 15cm away from the bath and 2metres above.

    thanks sparky the spark Thanks for your comments securespark. the cable is 1.5mm. What do you mean by protective device? What is an IP rating. the lights are in a bathroom and i do want them all turned on at the same time? What would be a less amatuerish method of doing it?

    if copper pipes freeze in your loft the ice expands and ruptures the pipe. Why doesn't this happen when you use a pipe freezing kit?

    go to a plumber's merchant and and ask for a WC pan connector. You can get them in various shapes and sizes. you may need one with a smaller diameter to fit into the lead pipe

    I need to take off a radiator to tile behind it. Do i attach a filling hose to re-fill the system and do i need to add more rust inhibitor to replace what has been lost? If so where do i add the rust inhibitor to the system? thanks
