Yes I'm stuck with 12v Bosch as I have a good few of the range but mainly use the combi and mini grinder daily.

Bosch 12v combi drill switch problems

I've found my smallest Torx bit and had a look inside and its true, its the whole switch module which is more than the cost of a new body only on FFX.

Bosch 12v combi drill switch problems

I seem to be going through these drills i every few years and its always the switch that has become unresponsive, I've kept a few rather than chuck them but have been buying body only replacements but I think I'm going to see if I can buy a switch...

    Tacklife tools...

I've got the 12v Bosch one and for a plumber its perfect for cutting into chipboard flooring to get at pipes, I also have a mid size 136mm Makita for everything else and a Makita tracksaw for fine work.

Sick to death of my Evolution Rage 3

I have an Hitachi M12 router. I've been doing kitchens maybe one a year and I've managed with the mitre saw up to now but its time to get a decent one. Are there any to avoid? I don't want one with a weird bore size.

Sick to death of my Evolution Rage 3

I have the Makita track saw, don't need it to cut metal just saying that the multipurpose blades don't do a good job of fine work.

Sick to death of my Evolution Rage 3

Its fine for studwork and stuff and I'm only a plumber but I'm doing more kitchens now so I need something more accurate. The multipurpose blades cut metal yes but it chips laminated trims.

Sick to death of my Evolution Rage 3

Right that's it! Ive had it since 2011 and its had a few new blades and I've always struggled like hell to find blades that will fit the stupid thing. I'm on a kitchen job and I bought a new fine tooth Saxton blade for it with reducing shims and my god they are tight, I'm getting blade wobble...

Confused by screws - wanting to get kitted out

Screw me! As a plumber who does lots of bathrooms and studwork, flooring etc I use mainly Screwfix silver screws. good quality and not too expensive. Turbogolds are better but pricey.

Need a new multitool but not Starlock

I don't know what to do now, I was going to get the quick release makita but not if its a noisy vibrating rattler like my 12v Bosch GOP. My 350W Fein works (bought in 2015) but it bogs down and looses full blade oscillation when I put any sort of pressure on it, like when I was plunge cutting...

Need a new multitool but not Starlock

I think it will have to be Makita, the Dewalt only seems to take open ended blades or can it be adapted to take all my Fein and Bosch attachments?

Need a new multitool but not Starlock

Not interested in Starlock as i kill tool many blades, I have a 12v blue Bosch and its all noise and no guts, I've got the 350W Fein but its on its way out so i need a 240v replacement. Which is the best non Starlock 240v quick release?

    Fein Multimaster worn out?

I'm a big fan of these, my original 250w model lasted maybe 5 years abuse so in 2015 I bought the 350w version and had been great but now I notice it looses drive when I push it, I don't push it hard but general pressure it doesn't go full stroke left to right. Am I looking at a new gearbox?

Better drill or better drill bits?

I have about 20 drills in total, mainly makita, bosch and hilti. Everytime my girlfriend buys a handbag she says "its only like you with your drills" :D

Reciprocating saw - significant blade flex

I have that mains Makita jobbie and I love it, I think I paid just over £100, 8 years ago. The Hilti ones are around £650. I was chopping out some old roof timber in our new loft extension and had one of those big flexible Bosch metal blades in and was able to bend it and cut nails off flush...
