    Think the house is 70 80 yrs old. I agree the quarrys are not solid . Il try lift a quarry to confirm if soil or concrete. Will the dpm be the first thing I see if one is used. What would it look like and where would it be positioned and how deep. Thanks again for your help and advise

    Is there anything I can do to hide the wood underneath the upvc window sill or any other solutions to make it look more better. I was thinking of plastic corners and scribing to fit the wall. Can I close it up or would it cause any problems ie wood could rot Thanks for uour time for reading...

    Laminate flooring and use of Dpm or vapour barrier

    Ok I have almost finished installing I did use a dpm over the fireplace and used some tape to secure ot to the floor. I did have a dipped floor board which I covered with exteria ply and extra fibre board. So I hope its ok, tbh I wanted to lay the floor so if needed to be pulled up it cn be done...
