    Hi all, Im re-laying a wooden floor and would like some advice, Im halfway through lifting the floor see pic But im not sure what to do to prep the floor for the re-laying. I think the boards were stuck down with bitumen. When lifting them there was some sort of tiling underneath...

    What wood?

    Hi, I recently bought a house with a solid wood flooring. Can anyone tell me what sort of wood this is? Also, any ideas how easy it would be to get hold of some more? Wood is 57mm wide, 20mm deep. Thanks in advance.

    Guys, thanks for all the advice. My choices are limited - the tradesman has gone AWOL - i havent managed to get hold of him for weeks! What can a novice like me do to make it look better? Norcon, if you think thats ok then i seriously wonder what you would find unacceptable?!!! Im guessing...

    Hi, Ive just had a brand-new teak work top installed in my kitchen, but , the joiner chipped edge where the sink is - hes filled it - but it looks rubbish (see pic). Has anyone got and advice on how to make it look better?
