the flame is alight. Found out that resistance on gas valve solenoid is 1.5 kOhm instead of 5 kOhm. Suppose replacing that should fix the problem, am i correct in thinking that?

sounds like a boiler replacement to me as this one is 12 years old could you please tell me which boiler model would fit without alterations in the system? i would love to take one out and put new in (not me personally of course) thank you!

strange issue.. We have been away for a week, came back today and put the heating and h/water on. (The heating was on while we were away 2 times a day controlled at 16 degrees by the thermostat on the wall supposedly) I was out and my wife rang me to say that something started smelling of...

oops! of course it is on - i have hot water ok, thoug it seems my thermostat is not happy as i get very hot water and reducing temperature doesnt really help by the way if i switch immersion heaters off (can i do that?) would the gas kick in?

just to say, obviously if i understood you correctly, heating is working fine and hot water is also fine, but hot water only heats up by electric heater, gas is only used for central heating so far. i feel that gas should be used for both and electric should kick in only if necessary or am...
