    Recessed spotlights in bathroom ceiling

Hi there... Can anyone advise me please? I'm considering having recessed spotlights fitted into upvc panels in the bathroom. My bathroom is quite small - about 2 metres square. In my naivety, I thought this would be straightforward, but I rang one electrician who said I would have to...

Hi there Has anyone an idea of a ballpark figure I should be paying to have 3 worktops fitted, with one join, cutting out for sink and hob, and cutting and fitting 2 upstands? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Gonna get some quotes, but would like a rough idea what to expect...

white gloss turning yellow very quickly

Thanks for the advice. Think I'll repaint myself using a good quality undercoat, followed by satin finish! We learn by our mistakes, as they say, but sadly they can be costly! :!:

white gloss turning yellow very quickly

Thanks for your comments. I hired a decorator to do the painting both times. Don't think he must have undercoated though. The first paint was Crown and the second Dulux - both non drip gloss. Will I have to have the gloss primed and undercoated before reapplying any further coats?

Can I still buy 50mm upstand for worktops?

Thanks for that - would be OK except the tiles running on top of the existing 50 cm upstand have been lovingly and carefully cut and laid in a diamond design using alternate coloured tiles, so the effect would sadly be lost.... Nothing's ever simple, is it!

Can I still buy 50mm upstand for worktops?

Of course! Doh! will ask the question of the DIY shop to see if they are willing to cut the upstand for me! The one I really like is 10 cm wide, so would need to be cut in half. Thanks for the advice.

That's a possibility. Thanks for the idea. Not sure how the cut edge could be finished off to look OK though - if you see what I mean..? :)

Can I still buy 50mm upstand for worktops?

Having a nightmare. Want to replace my exisiting worktops which are fitted with 50 mm matching upstands and then tiled directly above these. Everywhere seems to stock wider upstands, which would mean I'd have to cut into the tiles to fit them? Any ideas please..!!
