What new tools and where to buy them....

Hi Breezer, Nice site - I'll make a note of that :-) No, I realise that they are 230, but was wondering if I'd be better off looking at 110 volt tools (as normally used on building sites with a transformer). I can get all the tools here (if they are cheaper) then buy transformers in...

    Best way to treat woodworm

Hi, A surveyor friend of mine suggested painting the stuff with paraffin.... I'm assuming this wasn't a pre-requisite to burning it :-) Wondered if anyone else had heard of this as a cheap way of treating it? Thanks masona for the website - I'll look into it. Regards Paul

What new tools and where to buy them....

Hi, If I'm looking at 110 volt tools, will there be any difference between UK/Italy from a technical standpoint. I'm wondering if I should just be considering these as they are all meant to be 'professional' so I'd hope would cope with the workload. In an ideal world I think I should...

    Potterton Puma 80 - Bolier still heating when C/H & H/W

Hi Chris/Kev, Decided to give it a go (after finding more info on the subject from a past post) and all is well now. Had to clean the acual microswitch, as it was getting stuck and not returning so it could be pressed again. Thanks for all your help. Paul

    Potterton Puma 80 - Bolier still heating when C/H & H/W

Hi, Thanks for the advice Kev/Chris. Is this something I could/should do myself? If not, Chris - what could I expect to have to pay to get it replaced professionally (I'm assuming you wouldn't want to charge travel time and expenses from Antartica  ). Regards Paul

    Potterton Puma 80 - Bolier still heating when C/H & H/W

Hi All, I really wish I'd found this forum a long time ago! Our boiler has just started to exhibit the above behaviour. I've bled all the rads and checked the pressure to be 1 bar. If we have the C/H on then there is no problem, if we run a hot tap no problem, but is we are doing...
