    Help with Garage Floor Coating

Hi All, I have not been on here for a while unfortunately, another addition to the family has just about abolished anytime I used to get to surf the net etc. Anyway, winter will soon be gone and I am wanting to sort out my garage floor. I don't like doing these things, in fact I will be...

Which epoxy resin to fill thin cracks in concrete floor?

Hey, Not sure if you've been sorted out yet, but I have some experience. I'm currently buying products to install a resin floor (and repair the concrete first). Anyway, you need an 'epoxy filler', it's equal part 50/50 resin putty and activator. Mix together as much or as little as you...

    Sky 'eye' not working

Hey, I've got an 'eye' in my bedroom so I can change the sky channel. It just stopped working and the red light on the eye isn't lit anymore. It doesn't have batteries so I don't know what's gone wrong? I don't want to replace it if it's just the same again. What could the problem be...

    Levelling Entrance Floor

Cement based levelling screed, but make sure to use a decent primer or else it won't bond to the tiles.

    Should I use self-levelling compound?

I'd say just use the adhesive. I had a levelling screed blister on me in my kitchen / breakfast area and it is a nightmare. Less layers the better I say.

    Cement/water related question...

You should buy an epoxy mortar, they cure to be inert and won't wear away like a cement certainly will.

    block paving & ants

Hey, Had the same problem in the path leading down to my house. I bought some 'magic sand' to seal the joints with. No ants, no weeds! If you google 'block paving magic sand' you'll find plenty of suppliers. You brush it into the joints and it cures hard. I've jet washed it loads and...

Creeking Stairs in 5 year old Bovis Home

Hi everyone, This is one of my first posts on here. I've decided to carry out some small to medium home improvements, and the first job is the stairs. There is a loud (enough to wake up my gf) squeek / creek emitted on every step, including the middle landing. There is carpet down at...

Epoxy Resin Paint - self leveling compound - rubber tiles?!?

A floor paint won't level out your floor. I had it before when me and my dad laid the cement floor for our extension. We ended up hiring a scabbling to get it looking better but it didn't work so we got a professional in to lay a self levelling resin. The thing with this is you've not got to...
