    Vokera 29HE Combi Nightmare

it was excessive sludge build up in heat exchanger and had actually corroded it internally which was almost unbelievable as it wasnt very old at all.......vokera replaced it free of charge even outside warranty which makes me suspect it could be a fault/poor manufacture of the part.....hope this...

    Replace Mira 88?

If you have replaced the seals and it is still laking and pistin ring is pitted i think you arefighting a losing battle. I dont think you can get a replacement cartridge for an 88. Anyway...30 years is a superb lifespan for a shower!!

As seco said.....feet with screw holes are the best.....any of these trays ive fitted i have put a heavy bed of silicone on the tray surfaces that touch the walls and then screwed down the front 2 feet as the back ones are near impossible to fix down......once the silicone sets the tray is solid.

    copper pushfit.

I think its the same as HEP....i know some plumbers that dont use inserts in HEP pipe going into HEP fittings , and they've never had a leak. I always use inserts as basically it gives u peace of mind. I understand where you are coming from though

Thats a shower deck mixer. Monobloc is a tap that goes thru a single hole in the bath. Deck mixer goes thru 2 holes.

    copper pushfit.

Yes...i think you are supposed to use inserts....i used these copper pushfits on a new build as they were specified by the architect and i had nothing but bother with them......about 1 in 10 joint leaked....had to use a demounting tool to seperate leaking joints and could never see anything...

    Replacing Bath Taps (Monobloc type)

Ive never seen a monobloc bath tap with 22mm tails??? Are u sure it isnt a bath deck mixer you are fitting?? If so , you can get a flexi-tap connector with 22mm at tap end and a 15mm connection at the other. :D

Can I Add A Wireless Room Stat To Vented System?

I believe you could fit a wireless 2 channel programmable roomstat. For combi boilers it is a 1 channel u need. I think Honeywell do a good 2 channel Wireless Programmable Roomstat. :D

Hot water problem - old Vaillant boiler.

Possible worn diaphragm in the divertor valve maybe. Diaphragm not tight enough to switch on microswitch. A divertor valve service kit is available i think.
