Torbeck bottom entry toilet valve leaking

Thanks for all the replies. I guess the general consensus is to do away with it and replace it. I'll sort it over the weekend.

Torbeck bottom entry toilet valve leaking

I've taken it all out and inspected it and I can't see any splits, cracks or other deformities. I just can't get my head round why water would flow through the clear tube for two years and overnight now decide to exit via the four small square holes instead at a high rate of knots and spray...

Torbeck bottom entry toilet valve leaking

About two years ago I fitted a Torbeck bottom entry toilet valve which has worked perfectly until last night. I noticed the carpet at the rear of the toilet was damp and began searching for the source of the leak to no avail. Later last night I used the toilet and when I went to flush it...

    identifying a caller!

Agree with 99% of that but there are a few valid reasons to withhold numbers. The majority of doctors surgeries withold numbers incase the patient is out and a message cannot be left. If people dialled 1471 and found out it's the doctors they would then panic if they could not get through until...

    Inspecting my new apartment

A week tomorrow I'm taking the keys for the first home of my own. As you can imagine I am very excited and can't wait to get settled in. Next Tuesday I am been given the opportunity to inspect the property. Now I know most faults will be spotted within the first few weeks of ownership and...

Would you be bothered? What would you do?

Thanks for the replies. I did actually contact Multimap who said their information came from different sources and they generally wait until X amount of people have complained before amending the database. If everything arrives ok then I will live with it but if my fridge ends up elsewhere...

Would you be bothered? What would you do?

In 2 weeks I'm due to sign for my new apartment. I was given the address details some weeks ago and I'm in the process of arranging delivery of furniture, carpets, BT etc..... However.. If I use the postcode given to me, WS1 2DN, on ANY route finder or mapping website the result ends up in...

    LCD TV to Display PC

Digital Terestrial TV is by nature tranmitted over the airwaves. Channels are designated different multiplexes and you will often find upto 4 channels in the same multiplex. As you've quite rightly said if one channel on this multiplex exhibits problems the the other channel also on it will...

    LCD TV to Display PC

Depends entirely on the screen in question. Some may have a vga port, some DVi and maybe even both. My LCD for example had a DVI port only.

    Any German speakers?

The clever people who supplied my wall bracket for my TV sent it in German. Don't fancy hanging it on the wall when I can't understand the text. Can anyone translate it for me?

Direction - Yes it will be marked by an obvious arrow. Connecting laptop to plasma - You have 2 options really. S-video which is going to give average results or VGA to VGA depending on what is available on the plasma. I'm somewhat puzzled by the quote refering to component being inferior...

    LCD TV to Display PC

Components are the connection to aim for, in particular Progressive scanning components followed by interlaced. The actual "scart" socket, 21 pins, is correctly labled a Euro connector which as you've said is only available in Europe. For 98% of users it's the ideal connector as it covers a...

    LCD TV to Display PC

Scart leads can be very expensive. The most i've paid was for an Ixos .5 metere and that was £50. As for RGB, all scart leads from a few quid upwards will cary RGB signals. Some only carry RGB in the sense that the audio, automatic switching pins are removed. These are usually used with...
