I'm looking for a new tv.... Can anybody recommend a make/model that would play movie files in the form of avi/MP4 on usb??

Hi I'm after some advise please... I'm trying to watch downloaded movies which I believe are in xvid/divx format on a DVD+rw but it won't work on my DVD player?? Has anybody any recommendations of DVD players that would play these also any DVD players that have a USB That can play these movie...

its either air in your system still or maybe when uve filled the system up its caused a blockage in the cold feed pipe entering ure system,check to make sure the header tank is full in loft if thats ok cut the cold feed just before it enters the primary pipework and make sure theres no blockage

its ure motorised valve faulty in airing cupboard,im pretty sure u can get the valve heads for those potterton ones,either replace the head (straight forward just unscrew the 2 screws and it comes off.failing that just but a complete honeywell 3 port valve,drain system and fit valve :)

how can dirt jam the dhw turbine???????it will only have fresh water going through it and it cant be that old?if its under warrantee then its covered :?

vaillant ecotec or anything other than an ideal,baxi or cheapy makes.compared to ure boiler u will have more reliability choosing either a vaillaint or worcester cdi.the prblem with those baxi's is they were just poorly designed,around my area there isnt 1 that lasts longer than a year without...

faulty differential valve behind the hw flow valve.the springs in these seize up

the only honest pointer i can give u is the scrap heap...failing that get it on a bg service contract cos this heap will carry on breaking down year after year :roll:

if its not firing on hw its either the hw diaphragm or microswitch faulty,if it is firing up but quickly reaching temp and shutting off (before suspecting plate h-exchanger) it is more likely the pressure differential valve spring seized not letting the water out of the expansion vessel,common...

how bigs the system????it may need another expansion vessel fitting or vaillant do an "f75" kit for intermittant issues

no reason why the temperature should be tested on a service unless uve said uve had a problem with it,service times all depend on make and model of boiler,e.g a worcester greenstar 15ri would not take any longer than 30 mins providing all tests carried out passed ok and no problems

check thermistors yeah but what uve said indicates a blocked plate/plate h-exchanger

thats what a hydroflow does???it acts as a scale protector,u can either fit them on the cold main to a combi or on an open vented system with tank u fit them on the cold feed to the cylinder

wouldnt bother upgrading to 32mm that will still freeze,look into trace heating which is an electric heat cable that runs along the condensate and if temps drop it mildy heats the pipe preventing it from freezing

its cos the boilers reached temperature.... :roll:

pipework to rad sounds blocked,remove rad then open up the valves and see what pressure uve got,if its just dribbling out then the feed pipe is blocked,get an injector bottle and pump it up to see if u can remove it :)

if it was overheating u would have to manually reset it to get it back on,ive had a similar problem before and it was a partial blockage in the pilot which caused it to fail to rectify,get a rgi out to clean the pilot
