my central heating system does not have a drain anyware!,not underfloor- or anyware,easiest is just fit a combination rad/drain valve,or should i fit a drain at the lowest point(under the floor)running to the outside,this would be a pain,have been told should do this as it drains...

any ideas how to test a c/h pump i have had lying aroud?,if i connect it ,it might kick also will running for a few seconds dry hurt it?.

many years back i shut off the 2 valves each side of the pump and simply changed it,went to replace the pump again and this time the top valve will not shut off,i found some very helpfull info on this forum telling me to work the valve on &off,am assuming its crapped up so will try...
