many years back i shut off the 2 valves each side of the pump and simply changed it,went to replace the pump again and this time the top valve will not shut off,i found some very helpfull info on this forum telling me to work the valve on &off,am assuming its crapped up so will try this,otherwise will have to drain down.thanks for the tip.alan hare
