Shower booster pump connections.

I need to replace a faulty New Team Twin Varispeed shower booster pump. There is a shut off valve on the cold water side but no valve on the hot water side. To avoid draining down can anyone advise is it acceptable practice to Clamp the four short rubber connecting pipes at either side of the pump to enable disconnection of the pump ?.

Not really. It might work, and you might not foreshorten the life of the hoses, but how much effort is it really going to take to throw open a bath cold tap and empty the CSS?
