In my opinion it looks like it needs a GRP wall abutment flashing installed.

Should be a lead gutter there laid into a timber box section with the bargeboard over that. The whole design is completely wrong as the angle of the roof is constantly running water into the bargeboards...horrendous.

I would be looking at the lead flashings joining the wall at the top personally. I suspect water getting in through crap flashings or pointing, hitting the felt underneath and running in at the top of the windows where the felt has been cut.

Looks pretty strong as is as long as the timbers are good but a bit of strengthening always helps. You are on the right track about bracing the roof at the top although when we do it we use 4x2 and bolts.

What was you originally looking to put on the roof as a covering?. Wouldnt cost a lot to put a three layer felt roof on something that size, probably about £700.00 all in. I dont deal with the liquid roofing myself but m sure its dearer....
