Vaillant Ecomax pro 28E: fault f5

Sorry, should have been clearer. I got the F5 overheat immediately after I re-filled the system, and now the error has cleared. I'm now operating the boiler at low temperatures (40'C) until I'm certain it works correctly. The boiler now goes to temperature, and then switches off (with no fault...

Thanks for the lightning fast reply! I can still hear a bit of air in the system - not much though.

Vaillant Ecomax pro 28E: fault f5

I drained my system [gravity fed] to get rid of rubbish in the water and re-dosed with protector chemicals. But ... when re-starting the boiler, I got an error F5 - which I now know means it overheated (because I didn't read the instructions in the manual properly ... yes, I know ...)...

Replacing rollers on Garador Mk SS garage door

Hello The nylon roller on one side of my garage door has come off. I've bought a new roller but am now wondering how to get the thing on! Has anybody got experience of doing this - or do I need to buy the complete spindle? I was thinking of lowering the door and taking the side channel...

    Meile dishwashers

Can't comment on the dishwashers, but we've had a Miele washing machine for about a year and are impressed with the build quality (it's not got lumps of concrete in to stabliise it, for example - but still manages to weigh 100kg!) and its quietness. As the other contributors mention, they're...

Noisy, no hot water shower pump

Hmmm ... I've been struggling with this for a while now. I've checked the inlets and there was a bit of junk in the filters ... but on putting the system back together again, the pump produces hot water but no cold!!! With the pump switched off, hot wateer flows fairly freely but the cold...

Noisy, no hot water shower pump

Hey, that would be a good idea! It's a Watermill PC 50DLV - which is a low voltage pump.

Noisy, no hot water shower pump

I have a problem with my shower pump. It's both noisy, with a grinding-type noise, and doesn't pump hot water. In recent days, it's also activated itself when you run hot water in the bath. I'd be grateful for any ideas about the cause of this - and your views about replacing only the parts...

Recently installed condensing boiler ... questions!

Thanks for all the useful replies. Now, after about 1 week, the system is sounding like a cross-channel ferry with periods where it's very noisy. Looking at previous posts, there are comments that Vaillants need to have clean systems. Do you think that the system hasn't been flushed as well...

Recently installed condensing boiler ... questions!

Hello all I have just had a Vaillant ecoMax pro 28E condensing boiler installed. Why would the installer have increased the gas supply pipe from 15mm to 22mm, given that the boiler itself only has a 15mm connector (so that’s all the gas it can use)? The person who specified the work said that...
