Either of these two models will be fine in the house. Personally I would go for the quad. If you are fitting detection in an outbuilding then go for a dual-tech.

It’s not the preferred method but you could put the contact on the door and the magnet on the frame.

You need to default the system and start from scratch. It’s the only way if you do not know the engineers code.
