Britannia Range - Oven control knob spindle has snapped

Not wanting to spend £133 on a new control assembly, I thought I'd ask on here first. Not sure why but I've checked the rest of the controls and the outer ones have plastic spindles, yet the inner ones are metal. Weird. Anyway, anybody know if these can be pulled out or replaced somehow ? Cheers

No point in buying a Miele

...and the best bit is I sent an email to Miele Customer Services to complain and have absolutely nothing in reply now two weeks later. Certainly the last Miele product I buy. I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Swedish brand ISE though.

No point in buying a Miele

The technician told me that my machine even though it was 2.5 years old was in fact 4.5 years through it's guarantee. We have your fairly average family of 2 adults, 3 kids. Not exactly hammering the machine, so from now on we're using the short wash options to save a few hours. :/

No point in buying a Miele

Paid £1100 for a Miele W5922 washing machine a couple of years ago. I know it's a lot of money, but it'll go through at least 2 washes a day and the 10 year parts & labour guarantee gave us peace of mind too.... that was until it conked out. The valve that directs the water to various parts...

Neff dishwasher, How do I check the heating element ?

Right, here's a couple of pics. Looks like I have indeed popped one of the solder joints on a relay. I'm assuming I just resolder it and that's it ? Or is it goosed ?? Cheers

Neff dishwasher, How do I check the heating element ?

Currently got a Neff dishwasher, model number S5453X1GB/50 that only pumps cold water around the system. A common problem seems to be the PCB, but I've checked it and everything seems to be fine, no obvious scorch marks or burns. I've taken a few piccies just to be sure.... I...

Neff Dishwasher - Where is the PCB kept ?

Currently got a Neff dishwasher, model number S5453X1GB/50 that only pumps cold water around the system. A common problem seems to be the PCB, I'd just like to know where it's kept before I waste an hour or two dismantling the thing. I'm assuming it's inside the front door yeah ? Is there...

    Bosch dishwasher problem

If you take the left side panel off you'll be able to see the anti-flood device.... that red/yellow contraption. In the anti-flood device there's the yellow half which looks to be some sort of water level pressure sensor. If you take the whole anti-flood device apart, strip out both the yellow...

    Neff / Bosch Dishwasher stop/start/stop/start.....

Looks like I've fixed it myself ! In the anti-flood device there's the yellow half which looks to be some sort of water level pressure sensor. If you take the whole anti-flood device apart, strip out both the yellow and red parts, then dismantle the yellow disc shape, you'll see a silicone...

    Neff / Bosch Dishwasher stop/start/stop/start.....

Right, on closer inspection it appears that the inlet water isn't shutting off when it's full. Consequently it overfills, anti-flood kicks in, fills up again, anti-flood kicks in.... Is this likely to a problem with the inlet solenoid or something else that measures the water level inside...

    Neff / Bosch Dishwasher stop/start/stop/start.....

When I start a cycle I can see the inlet water backing up from the sump hose back towards the anti-flood device. When this kicks in it drains some out, then fills up again, then drains some out etc. Constantly filling/emptying/filling/emptying.... I've checked the sump hose and it's doesn't...

    Neff S5453X1 Dishwasher drain pump

I'm having problems with the drain pump constantly running on my dishwasher. So far I've managed to find out that it's a problem with the anti-flood device. Some remedies mentioned taking the dishwasher out, tipping it backwards to drain out as much water as possible. Trouble is this...
