Bridge over my pond, can I glue and screw to make a curve?

Oh and I made a few mistakes. I cut the curve with a jigsaw and the blade was not straight, because of that i had to go and buy a belt sander to level it back off. I used 5 uprights thinking they wouldn't interfere with the 4 noggins but then didn't think about the first and last being in the...

Bridge over my pond, can I glue and screw to make a curve?

No, glued/screwed directly back ontop of the other piece. I've got timber decking, 600mm wide and 3x2 rails which I was going to glue and bolt to the sides.

That's excellent, thanks :) I'll give it a go, worst case I'll have to buy some new 8x2 and do it flat.

Bridge over my pond, can I glue and screw to make a curve?

Hello, I'm going to build a bridge over my pond, its doesn't actually go anywhere so I'll rarely be on it, it's more to shade the water and give me something to attach my net too. Its a 3.5mtr span and I was going to use a pair of 8x2's with noggins between and decking on the top. Then I...

    Fitting drop down sewer pipe

Looking at the condition hat chamber I'd be tempted to fit a complete plastic unit, you could dig back on pipe that's dropping in and lower it. Otherwise, if you did do something inside the one that there now it should be OK as long as your stuff lands in the channel.

Better Bathrooms Eco S9 shower dripping

We have an 8 or 9 year old Better Bathrooms ECO S9 shower that's leaking. It's a concealed valve with an outlet to a head in the ceiling and also a hand held head on the wall. I believe the shower is now obsolete, what are the chances of me repairing it? Would there get standard sized...

    Retrospective wall ties

I used some when I made a window opening into a door. They were a stainless rod, threaded with rubber on. When you tightened a nut onto the thread it pulled the rubber tight and expanded it.

    Shower restyled hall ceiling

I've just had exactly the same problem. Grout had gone in a recess in a wall in the shower, water got behind the tiles and leaked through into the kitchen ceiling.

What have you been doing today?

Retiled this after a leak before Christmas. I didn't want to do it so had been putting it off, wasn't too bad in the end just ended up with a smaller gap on the far side of the top row for some reason.

    Faulty thermostat?

I've been out this morning and come back to heating :) My missus has been on YouTube and pressed a series of buttons on the boiler and managed to reconnect it to the thermostat. I have no idea how but it's back on. I tried the BND thing on it yesterday but had no look. I think she may have...

Post the best photo you took today

Nearest to me looks like Chester. I have a frame up in there, no poster though, just a weird last bit of toilet roll that I stuck in it to see if anyone at home noticed. Nobody did * How do I put smiley faces onto my posts? Can't quite remember.

    Faulty thermostat?

I appreciate your effort :) This is mine, its saying it's wifi connected and also saying the boiler is heating the radiators but it isn't. The room temperature it's showing seems about right.
