Hello,

I was wondering if anybody had any advice on what to do about this foul water sewer pipe. It’s an old pipe that hasn’t been in use for some time and that I want to bring into use again. From what I understand, the pipe should really feed directly into the main sewer pipe to reduce the risk of blocking.

I was thinking of adding a drop down pipe like the one in the second photo attached. I’m worried though that might not be in line with regs.

Cheers

Looking at the condition hat chamber I'd be tempted to fit a complete plastic unit, you could dig back on pipe that's dropping in and lower it.

Otherwise, if you did do something inside the one that there now it should be OK as long as your stuff lands in the channel.
