i dont even no were the fuel filter is plus there only two pipes that conect the pump and they seem fine.i really dont no were to start? :roll:

i cant see how it can b the fuel pump incorrectly timed as it has not been removed from the engine it was all running fine in a different car.as for air leak where would u start to look for that??

basically iv had another seconded hand engine fitted and seems to tick over fine and then runs lumpy and same wen u drive along seems to b ok then loose all power then u have to pump the throttle repeatedly for it to start again.the bubblin noise comin from the tank never used to b there only...

it cant b self bleeding as u can here the air in the fuel tank wen u turn the engine off

well the carpet in passenger foot well is wet but not as wet as id expect seeing how much water it is using,and when engine is warm it dose seem to be under emmence pressure,so what would u recommend?

ok il see to that.but i seem to be losing water somewhere as it needs to be topped up fully after its been drove.there are no obvious leaks where is the water going?? :?

ok so to recap,the leaking injectors which i belive is the sleeve will cause the high revs on own,and oil in the water?but wot do u think would cause the white smoke,its using water somewhere but no obvious leaks,im unsure about doin gasket for the reasons uv already stated,and iv also noticed...

i have been to 2 different garages today but both had said different things?? :? iv also found out that it has an oil cooler and 2 leaking injectors.could this b the prob or do i run the risk and stick new gasket on as well

well i checked the water level first thing this morning and it was low so iv topped back up,just ben out to start van hopin 4 a mirical :o have noticed the smoke seems to go from white /grey and then black,then back to white /grey.i dont have any kit to do the sniff test or anythin else,its...

well it seems more of a grey white smoke?but sometimes it dose look a little blue,would this be safe to drive to a garage do u think?on the ebay add the guy said he was told it could be the fuel pump needs adjustment.dose that seem rite?

ive just brought a van off ebay.it vauxhall astra 1.7td its smoking heavly and i have found trace of oil in water header but there is no water in the oil,it dose seem to still drive fine.can anyone help please???
