Thanks for all the replies i have contacted a local utilities company to come and quote hopefully they will be alot cheaper than national grid.

So i need metre moved then there is no way of adjusting pipe work. if so is it only national grid that can alter the pipe work.

Thanks for the replies i will upload some pics later tonight. The service pipe runs up the outside of the garage approx 2 feet then goes through the wall to the metre. The garage was a single skin attached to the house i have had it converted to a two storey. So I've had to have the block work...
