    Viessmann vitodens 200-w, Vitocell 200-v & w/c HO1B

Okay no problem, this is what I was trying to avoid, I hoped I expressed my self clearly but obviously not. I am not getting into a slanging match on what I have or have not searched for on this or any other forum / website / installation manual, I believed from the knowledge I have shown on the...

Hi, I am replacing my old weak 35Kw glow worm combi with the following Viessmann setup:- System boiler - 200-w 35Kw, Cylinder - 200-v (250ltr) and weather compensation unit HO1B. I chose this system after looking and reading as much info on the net as possible! I have a 5 bed detached house...

Glow Worm Xtrafast 120, 05 FF error and some questions!

Hi Thanks for the reply, I am 99.9% sure the tripping problem was air in the system that I could not budge! The kids have just had a bath and all is working well. Fortunately I fitted a magnetic filter when I did my winter mods to the system, to budge the air lock I pressurized to 2bar...

Glow Worm Xtrafast 120, 05 FF error and some questions!

I forgot to mention, the CH side works fine, when water temp reaches it's set point the boiler cuts in and out fine to modulate the heat. The 05FF error only appears when a large amount of hot water is supplied through the boiler?

Glow Worm Xtrafast 120, 05 FF error and some questions!

Hi All I was getting my system ready for winter but now I keep getting this error code? It began when I drained the system and filled with a de-sludge solution? When the system was filled everything worked exactly as it should do but if you filled a bath of hot water I got the 05 error. I...

Hi, sorry for not replying sooner for some reason my update notification is a bit hit and miss! I got into the house today and I know allot more on the system. All the radiators have been taken and it also most of the copper piping has gone even from under the floors, but they were nice enough...

Fit two combi boilers or go unvented?

Thanks for the info, I think I will keep the two combi system and do as Bert says and combine the two for the bath. I am doing a mini survey on the house in the next couple of days so I will get a good chance to find out what the boilers are and see if there will be any leads to getting the...

CH DHW wiring / plumbing problem

Hi Mick Thanks for the help! Moving the pump is possible, wiring may be harder but also possible! Currently the pump and the CH/ HW are easily accessible under the floor in the cloak room as is the zone valve etc, the house had an extension so the boiler was moved from the cloak room to the...

CH DHW wiring / plumbing problem

The boiler is a Baxi WM 51/3RS. Converting to a sealed system is a possibility but I am trying to take cost into account for her as well, what would it roughly add to seal the system, I assume I would need an expansion tank but what else? Thanks Mark

CH DHW wiring / plumbing problem

Hi Mick Thanks for the reply, unfortunately the house was house doctored! Laminate flooring and all that, so major work is off the list at the moment. Can the filling be kept as it is now? Also can you confirm if the combined vent / feed is OK as it is? I assume they have had problems in the...

CH DHW wiring / plumbing problem

Ok, Sorry for the delay I just have not had time to get any photos. I have added another sketch to show how the vent has been modified. The feed and return to the CYL coil is in 15mm as is the feed / vent from the header tank, the yellow dashed part is what I assume it was like before with...

CH DHW wiring / plumbing problem

Hi Thanks for the reply. OK, here is where we stand today! I have got the DHW pipes hot, I think there was an air lock and the pump was set to 3, I changed it to 2 and things started to get hot. The Tower valve fitted when closed still heated the CH so I will rip it out and replace with...

CH DHW wiring / plumbing problem

I agree, I was just looking at the S plan and when there is a demand for DHW and CH both valves open, neither has priority. This leaves me in the same situation we have now I can have the pump & boiler on, the valve for the CH is open so CH is on and as it stands there is no valve on the DHW so...

CH DHW wiring / plumbing problem

OK, converting to S plan would be simple enough, the boiler is a Baxi WM 51/3RS. Would I need a bypass? If so what do I need for that? Thanks
