had this fitted 2-3 years ago and one of the pipes has started to develop a slight drip,nowt severe and dosent affect the pressure but i feel it needs looking at before it gets any worse. from what i can see on the Baxi website its the hot water outlet pipe which is the 2nd one from the left...

just had the motor out and the spindle is quite hard to turn,think it may of seized or be very close to it.is it supposed to be easy to turn or does the motor offer resistance?

the elements are working but the fan does not move,can here the buzzing of the power in the background so assume its a fan packed up problem,any pointers,can they be replaced?

think the pipe that runs from the mains gas is 22mm or certainly is bigger than 15mm but reduces to 15mm just under the boiler itself, was quoting 10 TRV's just as an overestimate really.was expecting £2500 so not come as too much of a shock to see 3 grand. :shock:

right boiler has packed up forever so gonna get me a new one fitted sharpish,havent got the quote yet but been on the phone to say i need to get just the boiler and valves done asap.all pipework is already in situ and the main gas supply is 15mm,boiler is a glow worm swift flow 75,no TRV's...

further to my knackered combi problem a guy came round to measure me for a quote for a new system,boiler and valves will be replaced but not sure whether to replace the radiators and the pipework which he said where pretty sound. what am i looking at for the full lot bearing in mind i will...

well ive been here 3 years and not in that time!! just need to get it going as im getting a full new system put in soon and need this to work to tide me over.dont want to throw money at it as it was always my intention to change it.

any of you CH engineers work this one out? pilot went out so i relit it,pilot glows until you turn on a tap to test it then it goes out and theres a smell of gas.there a click like something shutting the boiler off. tried to keep the gas start knob in for longer as per instructions but...

right lads the missus is getting on my case about sorting the heating out as we are due our first child soon,she would like the heating on low all the time and for the upstairs rooms to be at a constant temperature rather than it going from cold to hot then cold again when the heating goes...

got a glow worm boiler thats about 10 years old that during the summer dosent need much repressurising at all,once every now and again. since the cold snap the pressure when the boiler is not on (ie overnight) drops to more or less zero. if you repressurise it to say 1 bar when the heating...

been quoted £90 for an engineer to do this but the part is only £10,mind you it fell out after just over a year!! is it an easy enough job or should i get the experts in? any advice or instructions appreciated. :D
