    just had the motor out and the spindle is quite hard to turn,think it may of seized or be very close to it.is it supposed to be easy to turn or does the motor offer resistance?

    the elements are working but the fan does not move,can here the buzzing of the power in the background so assume its a fan packed up problem,any pointers,can they be replaced?

    think the pipe that runs from the mains gas is 22mm or certainly is bigger than 15mm but reduces to 15mm just under the boiler itself, was quoting 10 TRV's just as an overestimate really.was expecting £2500 so not come as too much of a shock to see 3 grand. :shock:

    right boiler has packed up forever so gonna get me a new one fitted sharpish,havent got the quote yet but been on the phone to say i need to get just the boiler and valves done asap.all pipework is already in situ and the main gas supply is 15mm,boiler is a glow worm swift flow 75,no TRV's...

    well ive been here 3 years and not in that time!! just need to get it going as im getting a full new system put in soon and need this to work to tide me over.dont want to throw money at it as it was always my intention to change it.

    been quoted £90 for an engineer to do this but the part is only £10,mind you it fell out after just over a year!! is it an easy enough job or should i get the experts in? any advice or instructions appreciated. :D
