Hey do many plumbers not bother screwing basins with pedistals back to walls do the just stick them back with silicone. I just removed my old basin which had been in for years and it was just siliconed back to the tiles took some getting off.

Hey I'm going to change by bathroom. When I rip out the old suit when I turn the water off do I also need to turn my combi boiler off so it doesnt fire up when I drain the water in the hot pipe work or is there no need? Thanks for any help.
