    Synthetic veneer

I have boxed in my cistern, pipes etc.. in my toilet with MDF and plywood. Now I would now like to cover the wood with some dark walnut veneer (before I fix the pannels into place), however as it is quite a large area (1520 x 860 front panel & 1520 x 26 top) I am not certain that real wood...

Zones Upstairs & Downstairs & Hot Water

Currently I have a 3 port valve controlled by a Time Controll (Honeywell ST799), which controls my heating and hot water. I want to zone my house to split upstairs and downstairs, and would therefore like to use two sets of the HoneyWell CM67RF Programmable Thermostat and HC60NG relay box...

Thanks for the reply, I will have re-think as to where to run the pipes, and may end up running them just above the skirting board.

    Central Heating pipes location regulations

I need to install 2 extra radiators and want to chase the pipes (plastic type) into the wall for one of them, using the plastic conduits(would have used the floor but there is a Gas pipe in the way). There is a lot of mention (within the forum) of the Plastic Speedfit (http://www.johnguest.com) fittings but very little on Hep20 (http://www.hep2o.com). Is one better than the other?

I am intrested in creating 3 zones (one for the upstairs heating, one for downstairs and one for the heating). The first plumber I called was not confident in doing this, and the second one said it was not possible because I have multiple downpipes to feed my downstairs radiators. Is this true...

    Flushing Noise

Thank you all for your replies, My system is back up and running and so far the noise of air in the system has greatly reduced. There is still a bit of air in the system, but I think this will clear as I bleed the radiators( & pump) over the next few days. I am not sure why the pump started...

    Flushing Noise

Finally darined my system and re-filled it, adding some inhibitor. Only problem now is that the pump is always on, even when the Hot water and central heating are turned off. Also when the central heating is turned on the radiatiors are not getting hot, as though the 3-way valve is not working...

    Flushing Noise

When my hot water (or central heating) comes on in the morning, every now and then there is a flushing noise comming from the airing cupboard. So this is either water running down the pipes or inside the hot water cylinder. After a while the noise stops completly. Does anyone have any idea as to...
