Thanks, I'll do that. There are some council owned garages a few metres away and you can see that a slab has been laid on top of the existing concrete and then the brick wall built on top of that. My extension wouldnt be much taller in height than these.

Thank you for your help. The rcd is on a distribution board, there isnt a seperate one solely for the shower. I have bought another shower now, and the inlet pipe is on the opposite side and so going to need a plumber to do some pipework. I should have bought another triton as the inlet pipe...

The power to the shower is stuck on as the pull cord is broken. It was tripping after shower was running for abut 3 minutes or so. No multimeter.

It is definitely the rcd. It tripped in the middle of the night last night so might not be the electric shower after all. I don't have anything on timer. The rcd won't go back up now.

Boiler was working fine but going off after half hour. Replaced the temperature sensor.

Hi I had a plumber come round to fix a problem with my boiler. He unscrewed the wall thermostat as part of his fault finding. Now though, it seems the wall thermostat is being bypassed altogether as my heating comes on regardless whether thermostat is on 0 or 30. Could he have wired it up...

No the room thermostat is set to 30C. Boiler is on number 5. No hot water and radiators are barely on :(

There is only one control on the boiler and its numbered 1-6. Guess thats the thermostat? As for the hot water I thinks its seperate as it is upstairs in the airing cupboard (the orange foam covered thing). The dial there is pointing to 70C. Thanks.
