Hi Lucid, thank you for your help so far, I wanted to update you after the last few weekends messing around. Sorry its a long one. Affirmative on both those The aerial is pointing at the main transmitter. I double checked the compass bearing and it also matches my neighbours which is next to it. When we bought the house it had the same model aerial with a masthead amplifier but it got damaged during a loft extension. The...

    Central Heating pipes through wall

Hi, just a quick one for the plumbers here. I want to add an extra radiator and just wondered if it matters whether the 15mm feeds come through the wall at the same level as the main flow and return pipes? The main flow/returns are below the floorboards suspended under the joists, i can easily...

TV coax cable and splitters/amplifiers issues etc

hi yes sorry. i meant to say when i unplugged it before. interestingly i can disconnect the psu and plug straight into the wall socket and still get a weak signal but it just keeps pixellating. it looks ancient but is a labgear psu. the amplifier was unbranded as far as i can remember

TV coax cable and splitters/amplifiers issues etc

Hi Lucid, thanks for your reply. I was thinking of future proofing a little. no doubt we'll have sky put in at some point. To be honest i included the amplifier because there is one there already so assumed it must be required. the signal is certainly weaker without it judging by the tv picture...

I have been having issues with my tv signal after some building work. I have checked the cables as best I can and can't find anything wrong so I've decided to replace it whilst I can run the cables under the floor boards. Currently I have a old inaccessible 4 way masthead amplifier with the...
