    i would be very careful setting the cylinder at a set point of 65 degrees c,at that temperature 3rd degree burns occur in about 2 seconds . Set at 60 degrees 90% of any bacteria are killed after 2 minutes.

    Could be the trv's are stuck in the closed position, try taking the thermostatic head off and press the pin, if it does not move , its in the closed position, try gently tapping it , the valve that is, not the pin to see if it will free off, also check the lock shield valves are open.

    I,d defo go with the grinder, using heavy gloves ect.I use 1mm thick discs,also would drill out the cement in the collar[carefully]. I don,t know if i,m seeing things but on the photo the existing cast looks cracked.

    With quite a few things liable to be used at the same time I would put 22mm in.The size of the pipe affects the flowrate not the pressure ie with 22mm, run a couple of appliances you probably would not notice the difference at the taps ect with 15 mm you would.Unless you have very high pressure...
