    Yeh, built 1964, yes, you are right , best to remove part of the path in question , which is around 6 Mtr and 3 Mtr round the corner , I did a cut into it awhile back with my Stihl saw and it cut down full cut of new blade , still solid concrete !. So I think I will do some cuts along the path...

    When the heating is shut down on a night and there is no power to the Actuator, the spring will pull the valve back to the HW position, that is the default setting ( HW prority ) !.

    It seems the knocking is when the HW comes on, turned HW thermo down and CH started on the morning and no knocking !. Spike

    Could I change over from DHW priority to CH priority, if so how can I do that ?. if the CH comes on first with the cylinder stat turned down, then after a hour, you turn the cylinder stat back up, there is less noise when the DHW kicks in ! Spike
