Intergas Xtreme 36 fault code n150

As a follow up to this thread we have had an Intergas engineer look at our boiler. n150 is a notification code that the heat exchanger is running too hot. In my case this is displayed as the boiler is running hot water into the bath. I have also seen a n200, which is the same meaning but is...

Intergas Xtreme 36 fault code n150

I’ve done quite a lot of googling but can’t find much on this fault code. But just found this from a Dutch website. In addition to malfunctions, the Intergas Xtreme can also indicate notifications on the display. Pay attention! So this is actually not a fault code. Notifications are displayed...

Intergas Xtreme 36 fault code n150

I had an Intergas Xtreme 36 fitted in June to replace an ageing boiler. The wife was running a bath just now and I thought the boiler was quite noisy, like a loud vibrating noise. Looking at the boiler the spanner symbol was flashing and fault code n150 was displayed. The water was still...

Vaillant vcw 282e dhw heat exchanger kit instructions

My 28 year old Vaillant VCW GB 282E has sprung a leak. It is dripping about a tablespoon of water a day from the plastic dhw heat exchanger. (yes it still has the plastic one.) There appears to be quite a lot of kits around on the auction site but all seem to lack fitting instructions...

    Strange REASON8 problem

Here are the instructions for the Reson8 bell box which I guess you already have. The 20min duration only applies if it is a SAB (self activating bell) otherwise it takes the timing from the panel. Sounds like a wiring fault, especially if you think the cable is damaged. Oops, looks like a...

    Which satalite meter?

I bought this one last week. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150792362867?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 It is the Rockdale one for £70 as mentioned above. Works really well. Only picks up the satellite you are looking for so no locking on to the wrong one.

How to estimate number of roll for hall landing and stairs?

Thank you for such a comprehensive reply, and your time to work it out. I think the original 35 sq M is probably nearer the mark. I had already worked out the 7 rolls based on the area measured and was sure (well hoping  ) that 19 rolls was way off the mark. Thats nearly three times...

    Cleaning frosted glass

No it's not a sealed unit. It's actually my stairs balustrade but I thought I'd get more response in this section.

    Cleaning frosted glass

I hope this in the right section. I am struggling to clean some frosted glass. There are marks and stains, probably just finger prints. It's like the stain has got into the texture of the frosting. I have tried all the usual stuff. Window cleaner spray, white spirit etc. Initially it looks...

How to estimate number of roll for hall landing and stairs?

I've got the hall landing and stairs to wallpaper and I need some help in estimating the number of rolls I need please. Total area that needs paper on it is 35 square metres. (I've taken out the areas for the doors and windows.) The problem is there are a lot of different drops. From...

    Is my Vaillant combi obsolete

Don't quite understand your comments? Sounds like your having a dig at me for some reason? I've certainly never said "Good job I've got cover......." Any engineer worth his salt would identify the faulty part and replace it alone to fix the fault. I guess it makes for an easy job if you...

    Is my Vaillant combi obsolete

Thanks for the interest and replies. Just a quick update. A very nice Vaillant engineer arrived yesterday morning with parts to fix my boiler. He said that they'd had a memo stating that they wouldn't be supporting my boiler after the end of March 2012. I asked him how this would effect my...

    Is my Vaillant combi obsolete

I have a Vaillant Compact 282(E) Combi. It has given us good service over the years but has had it's moments! I pay monthly for a maintenance contract which only covers boiler breakdowns. The engineers came today because I had no central heating, hot water was ok. According to the wife (I...

    Replacement alarm required

Thanks guys much appreciated. The panel I have been looking at was really based on reviews I have seen. I'm always open to suggestions if there is something that would suit me better. ie a system that has build in fob setting and internal speaker?

    Replacement alarm required

Thanks for that Oasistechnical. It would certainly be more economical to buy a complete kit. I was always going to change the external siren anyway as I'm pretty sure its had it.

    Replacement alarm required

Thanks Alarm for the reply. Have PIRs changed much in the last 15-20 years? Are the Wickes ones likely to work with a new panel? Have to say I have been browsing this forum this morning and there does seem to be a strange attitude on here sometimes. I thought forums were about helping...

    Replacement alarm required

Just come across this forum so thought i'd ask a question. Several years ago I fitted a Wickes wired alarm. Two PIRs and door contacts front and back. As the kids got older and started coming in and out at all hours we stopped using the alarm. I am at present building a new porch on the...
