    Advice sought please.

Thank you for the reply. OK I should have been clearer I have left a 25mm gap under the flat roof dormer section with 50mm of Celotex but I am considering converting this roof to sloping in a couple of years. Where I have sloping ceilings the rafters are 100mm and I have used 50mm Celotex...

    Advice sought please.

Hi, Im in a bit of a dilema where I have done some work but didnt notify LABC. The work entailed romoving plasterboard ceilings and upgrading the insulation between the joists (some beneath a flat roof dormer). The problem is that the joists/trusses are only 75mm and so ive fitted 50mm...

    A question on tanking

Thanks for the reply, the wall tiles are ceramic 200x300x8mm the floor tiles are slightly larger can't quite remember the exact size. So tanking the floor would be overkill, its not a wet room just fitted with a shower/bath. I think I will just tank the whole area around the bath, and seal...

    Plaster over artex?

The artex is in a wave pattern and uniform all over. I don't really want to take the ceiling down however as has been said I don't want it coming down one night when im watching the telly, so boarding over may be an option but i think id prefer to plaster straight onto the artex. decisions...

    Plaster over artex?

My lounge has an artex ceiling, is it a good idea to plaster over it? If so what kind of prep work would need to be done? The artex is in good sound condition but its just not my taste. Thanks in advance.

    Is this a good quote?

Have to agree with alarm looks better on the outside, pullcords are just dated now and look naff. I didnt know you could have a switch inside a bathroom.

    Flat roof insulation?

OK thanks for the rapid reply, I will fill with 75mm and the consider using some 25mm underneath, but obviously the dormer only covers part of the room so it may look a little odd with a step in the ceiling.
