Thanks for the replies and advice. Sorry I didn't reply sooner but clearly didn't click the "notify of reply by email" box. Thought everyone had abandoned me! Jason - do you mean call heatteam and they will send you round as you are covering my area?

    help needed: Suprima upgrade

Hi I am one of the suckers that had the PCB problems with the Potterton Suprima. Eventually I bought an upgrade unit. I am trying to install it into the Suprima 100. The problem is that it says "remove the 2 violet wires from the fan" . Well, my fan does not have 2 violet wires. But it...

    felt backed carpet: Use underlay?

I thought felt backed (not foam backed) carpet didn't need underlay? The bloke in Carpetright says it's best to avoid lines from the floorboards but is he just trying to get some extra cash? Does it depend on how uneven the floorboards are? Thanks for the help.

    Carpet Kicker Stretcher

I have just ordered one from ebay - brand new and the supplier has great feedback. Costs £28 plus p+p (total comes to about £36.60). Just go onto ebay and search "knee Kicker"

    Boiler constantly needs resetting

Sorry if it's been covered before. My central heating boiler seems to turn itself off at irregular intervals - it can run OK for several hours and then next time will run for minutes before the "reset" button needs activating whereafter it is back to normal again for a period. When it switches...

Thanks. The hot water tap starts OK, then when it heats up I get an intermittent whoosh - stop - whoosh. Bit like someone being sick (but without the carrots). Thanks for your help Simon.

    2 tap queries

    1. The hot water tap doesn't turn off fully and there is a constant trickle. Is this simply a washer problem (turns off fine when the water is running cold) 2. Hot water tap in kitchen runs fine for a while then "pumps" Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Dishwasher - little water entering

Valve? OK. Where the pipe joins onto the mains pipe - that's where the filter is. Am I right? Is theat where the "valve" is? Or is it where the flexible pipe joins the dishwasher itself?

    Dishwasher - little water entering

Thanks. Yes. I did check it. It seemed fine. I then removed it completely, just in case, and there was no change. I appreciate your reply. Thanks.

    Dishwasher - little water entering

The dishwasher has suddenly gone wrong. There is virtually no water entering at start up (or at any other phase). I have checked a few things - there is a good supply, the hose is not kinked, some water is trickling through the side inlets, the drainage is fine. Anybody help? Thanks
