    Double Glazing haze

On all of my windows which see the Sun during the day. On some windows can be seen even if Sun not shining. Worse when viewed from outside. Glass is stamped Window Systems North Limited. Is this haze, which I believe may be related to the 'Low E' coating, normal? Could it have been avoided by...

    Bloom on DG windows

A quick update. A FENSA rep has inspected and condemned the installation on the basis that so many failed units (22 in total) will mean that the required energy efficiency rating will not be met.

    Bloom on DG windows

I had Residence 9 windows installed about 5 months ago. Some windows have developed a strange bloom which only appears to affect part of the DG unit. Installers have already replaced some units but others have now started to have this problem. What could be causing this? Is this a...

    Suspended ground floor ventilation requirement

Hi 2 vents in the front and 2 at the back. High level vent is within the floor. No vent in the room itself.Ceiling height is about 2.5m. There may have been a gas fire in the room at some point in the past but this was removed before we purchased.

    Residence 9 installation

My failed sealed unit has been inspected and replacement authorised. My windows are glass bonded but the installer claims that they can put a new sealed unit into the existing frame. Is that right?

    Residence 9 installation

Agree entirely. I was thinking more of the original designers of the R9 window probably being the best people to ask about whether the windows were correctly manufactured and installed.

    Residence 9 installation

This morning I heard a bang. This is what I found... I now have no confidence in these windows at all. Can I get Residence 9 out to perform an inspection of the installation?

    Residence 9 installation

Thanks-pleased to see that the gap is acceptable. I have now inspected the inside of all of the windows. There appears to be a lot of minor damage to frames etc. Pictures attached. A lot of the UPVC covering the Georgian Bars is badly cut. I had hoped that R9, sold to me as a premium product...

    Residence 9 installation

Thanks for the helpful info. One other question-what gap should there be between the bottom of the frame and the cill-I assume Residence 9 would specify what the gap should be? Is there a minimum and maximum measurement?
