Hahaha how you doing? It's on constant curve highest setting. Yes magnetic filter cleaned a few times and last time I added inhibitor to it and that immediately helped this new issue.

Wifi extender running on electrical cables

With your suggestion that does mean a ether net cable being plugged into main router and then into another extender somewhere in the house I've changed the names on the mesh, regardless of having same name the device would still be connected to the access point and then won't automatically...

Wifi extender running on electrical cables

Only issue with this brand is that setup is via an app. And if app becomes useless then you're screwed. Doesn't seem to have a web based setup.

Wifi extender running on electrical cables

I'm trying to get a decent WiFi extender and come across this one from argos. It seems to suggest the connection is boosted or is stronger by having them plugged in to the same electrical circuit? How does 2.5mm cable, supposedly fitted decades ago, make the wifi connection stronger...

Cable getting discoloured / lifespan of cables

The connector is new installed Dec 23. It can't be both connectors were bad despite the terminal block box was 24 years old. It will still be 240v to the boiler end. The cable that connects from boiler to the red wire at boiler end is fine and doesn't change colour. The cable that connects to...

Cable getting discoloured / lifespan of cables

It is solid core. That's the issue no other cables are affected. The boiler end wasn't affected. However back in December one of the other cables in the programmer was silver? What bigger size would you recommend?

Cable getting discoloured / lifespan of cables

This is a new wago junction box. Previously it did the same thing in an ancient wiring centre which had terminal blocks. That was in place for 24 ye Boiler is in garage, pump in loft. 15-20 meters of wiring I'd say

Cable getting discoloured / lifespan of cables

It's in the loft, other conductors perfectly fine. The conductor is in one of the terminals of the wago junction box. I haven't tried cleaning it as you mentioned but instead strip the cable.

Cable getting discoloured / lifespan of cables

What causes a cable to get discoloured? I have a heating/hot water issue however the cable that comes from the boiler to the pump gets discolored on one side (on the side that connects to the pump). The discoloration can take a few weeks. This then causes a delay for the heating/water to come...

    Heat lamp / infra red

I'm trying to buy a decent heat lamp, the one with the red bulb, but they're quite poor and not many about. I've seen some with a holder only without a stand. Ideally I need one with a stand. Can I make my own? What sort of cable size would I need for a bulb that dishes out 100-275w? And...
